So the Indian Premier League  is a brand new league that plays the twenty/twenty cricket format - this takes only three hours or so instead of the one to five days a normal cricket match would take.  The whole country is mad about cricket.  It is often said there are three primary passions in India - cricket, politics and bollywood.  A friend of mine said it's actually four  and added food.  Take a look at this commercial that has been running for IPL alerts - a little disturbing if you ask me.
